Marguerite Lovett Godwin, 78, died peacefully Saturday evening. Funeral Service will be held 2:00 Wednesday at Midway Baptist Church with burial to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She will be sorely missed. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Godwin of Garner; son, David Howard and his wife Vicky of Crestview, FL.; sisters Ruby Lambert and Rennie Upchurch both of Raleigh; granddaughters Megan King of Raleigh and Tracie Howard of Goldsboro; great grandchildren, Daven, Joseph David and Alexa; cousin Betty Winzig and husband Bill, of Lebanon, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Godwin and brothers, George Lovett, Carroll Lovett, Gordon Lovett and Joe Lovett.
