Mitchell Lamerick Smith

Mitchell Lamerick Smith, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at the age of 85, surrounded by his family at home. Born in Clinton, NC, he is the son of the late Lamerick and Roberta J. Smith. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 11:00am at the Pikeville Cemetery in Pikeville, NC, officiated by Pastor Stanley Kirby. He attended Everett Chapel and was a faithful servant of the Lord.

He is survived by his wife, Linda G. Smith; daughters, Robin S. Wilson and husband, Jimmy, Melissa S. Todd and husband Nick; sister, Carolyn Ray; grandchildren, Ryan Riley, Jamie Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Jared Wilson, Jackson Wilson, Andrew Todd, Alex Todd and Adam Todd; great grandchildren, Ava Riley, Reagan Riley, Greyson Todd and Caiden Todd.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to 3HC hospice for all the care, and compassion that was given with a special thank you to Amy and Cassidy.

On Wednesday, August 26, 2020, visitation for friends, church family, and community will be throughout the day at McLaurin Funeral Home. Family will only be present for a private visitation.
