Pedro Diaz

Pedro was born in Puerto Rico to Pedro and Luz Rivera Diaz on April 16, 1940. He married the love of his life, Rosa Maria Diaz, in Bronx, NY. He worked as a Mechanic.

Pedro was a hardworking and loving family man. He was an incredibly funny man; he loved telling jokes and making people laugh. He was a commanding presence; He could walk into a room and put a smile on anyone's face. He was an honest man - filled with integrity and trust. He enjoyed being an automobile mechanic and did not consider it work. His favorite place to be was at home with his wife and family. He was loved by everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.

Pedro is survived by his wife; his son, Jaime Diaz; his granddaughter, Ashley Marie Gallegos and husband, Jaime Gallegos Hernandez; his grandson, Brandon James Fenwick; great-granddaughter, Sofia Marie Gallegos and great-grandsons, Jayden Antonio Diaz, Jamie Gallegos, Jr. and Jonathan Alexander Gallegos.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Aida Luz Diaz and his son, Pedro Antonio Diaz

The Diaz family would like to thank the Perez family for all of their support and love during this trying time.

Visitation will be at 12pm on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at McLaurin Funeral Home 12830 US-70 Bus. Hwy. W. Clayton, NC 27520. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 1pm with Father Peter Grace of St. Ann Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Clayton, NC.
