A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 9, 2023 in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home, 12830 US 70 Business Highway West, Clayton, North Carolina with Taylor Sword officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home, prior to the service.
He is survived by his two children, Tammy Purdy Sword and Richard "Ricky" Allen Purdy, Jr.; five grandchildren, Cody Camacho, Zulena Tooley, Taylor Sword, Katelyn Adams and Alexander Rawlings; ten great grandchildren, Cayden, Roman, Skyler, Emma, Meili, Ellie, Adrian, Richardo, Phoenix and baby Maverick
