Robert "Bob" Bienkowski

A memorial service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at 6:00 PM Monday, May 11, 2026 at thy Neuse Country Club, 918 Birkdale Drive, Clayton, North Carolina, and a service in Michigan at a later date.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 12, 1948 to the late Eugene Bienkowski and the late Jane Furtak Bienkowski. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Jason F. Medawar.

Bob received his bachelor’s degree from Michigan Tech University and was a retired Analyst with Ford Motor Company. He loved the game of golf and could often be found on the course three days a week, enjoying both the competition and camaraderie of his friends. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and dog dad to his two fur baby’s Sadie and Sophie, who brought him endless joy and companionship.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Nancy Bienkowski; children, Adam (Sharon), Dennis, Mitzi (Freddy), Kelly (Verne); grandchildren, Kayla, Jason, Tierra, Molly, Cody, Adrian, Deija, Madison, Riley, Ethan, Amilliana; great grandchildren, Zaiden, Ziaire, Jace, Alante, Ace, Bryson ; brothers and sisters, Dennis (Marlene), Mary (Phil), Lucy (Bob); and a host of nieces and nephews.
