Ryan Edward Gavin

A memorial service to celebrate and honor his life will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, March 13, 2026, in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home 12830 Clayton Boulevard, Clayton, North Carolina with military honors. Pastor Brad Barbour and Pastor Lee Chatham will be officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the memorial service.

Ryan was born in Kingston, New York to Wendy Lydia Wengert Gavin and the late Edward John Gavin. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward Gavin and Louise Gavin; and Walter Lee and Harriet Lee.

He was a Veteran of The United States Army, graduated from the United States Military Academy, and received his master’s degree from North Carolina State University. He was a customer sales director with Audemars Piquet. Ryan enjoyed spending time with his family. Being a father and husband was his greatest joy. He loved his crossfit 5:00 AM crew and enjoyed the holidays with his family. He loved to hike, travel, ski and watch football. He enjoyed coffee on the back porch with his wife and dogs. He was a avid reader.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 22 years, Dianna Lee Fourquet Gavin; his three children, Marie Kocher, Edward Gavin, and Alexis Gavin; sisters, Cassie and Megan Robertson; Uncle Frank and father-in-law, John Fourquet.
