She is survived by her children, Barbara Barbour and her husband, Gerald of Clayton, Danny Parrish and his wife, Mary of Goldsboro, Bonnie Dawkins and her husband, Mike of Apex; brother, Dewey Edward Wheeler of Chapel Hill; grandchildren, Amy Phelps, Roger Parrish, Lynn Stone and her husband, Jared, Emily Taylor, Katie King and her husband, Matt, Alexis Phelps, Holly Bennett and Michael Whitt and his wife, Janna; 15 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Rudolph Parrish; brothers, Jodie Wheeler and David Wheeler; a sister, Bettie Ellis.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 11:00am at Mount Calvary Baptist Church with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00am. The interment will follow the services at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Calvary Baptist Church 5217 Barber Mill Rd. Clayton, NC 27520.
