William Andrew McCrickard

William Andrew McCrickard, 31, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 29, 2017. William was born July 30, 1985 in Fairfax, VA, to William “Bill” and Theresa McCrickard. He moved to Clayton just before his junior year and graduated from Clayton High School in 2003. While in his senior year, he met the love of his life, Meaghan while playing for the golf team. They married in 2008 and had a beautiful daughter, Avery. He was a wonderful daddy and loved Avery with all his heart. He went on to JCC where he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps in Fire Protection. He was extremely passionate about fishing, golf, and helping others. He had the biggest heart in the world and would often give more than he had to give. William is survived by his wife, Meaghan McCrickard; daughter, Avery McCrickard; parents, Bill and Theresa McCrickard; brother, Brian McCrickard and wife, Anna; nephews, Caiden and Dawson McCrickard; in-laws, Tom and Ginny Marshall; and grandmothers, Florence Moore and Gloria Marshall. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, February 3, 2017 at 1pm in the McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-9 pm at the funeral home.
