Erma M. Brown

Mrs. Brown was born April 30, 1922 at Newtown, the daughter of Raymond L. and Melva I. (Kline) Goss.

She retired from Riverside as a cake decorator and had also worked at Leitzingers Department Store, Wishing Well Bakery and Super Duper.

Mrs. Brown was a member of the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church until its closure having taught Sunday School and was also financial secretary.

Erma is survived by two sons; Edward E. Brown and his wife Sandra K. and Leon G. Brown and his wife Sandra L. all of Litz’s Bridge, two granddaughters; Brenda Strouse and her husband Joe and Bridget Knepp , five great grandchildren; Mason, Abby and Caleb Strouse and Daisy and Dakota Knepp and a sister, Rea L. Shirey and her husband Alton of Clearfield.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leon D. “Brownie” Brown who passed away August 28, 1999 and whom she married March 1, 1938 and a brother Thomas Goss.

Funeral Services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., of Clearfield on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Kenneth Pry officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 7 to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.
