Kathryn Ruth Bowman Tibbens

Born in Niagara Falls, NY in 1944, she was the daughter of the late Donald Lee and Ruth Irene (Bailor) Bowman.

Kathryn was employed as a Soda Jerk and a Waitress for Widmann’s in Clearfield then later in the Deli at Riverside until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling, camping and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Kathryn collected porcelain dolls, teddy bears and snow globes.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three children: Wendy L. Moore and her fiancé Jeffery Rhone, Clearfield, Lance D. Tibbens and his companion Kimberly Puit, Phillipsburg; Trace G. Tibbens, Clearfield; 4 grandchildren: Danielle D. Moore, Anthony J. Moore, Brittany Tibbens, Morgan Tibbens; 1 great grandson: Julian Panebanco; two sisters and one brother: Judy Lewis and Linda Peters both of Mineral Springs; Donald L. Bowman, Clearfield; one aunt: Flora Arbanas, St. Petersburg, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son: Robert M. Tibbens, III and a brother: James Bowman.

A service to celebrate the life of Kathryn Ruth Tibbens will be 11:00 Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, 312 East Locust Street, Clearfield, PA 16830 with Rev. Sam Maines officiating. A time to share memories and have an opportunity to view will be on Tuesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 9:00 PM and Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde, PA.
