Russell R. Unick

Born February 13, 1949 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Russell V. and Catherine (Heeman) Unick.

Russell graduated from Philipsburg Osceola High School in 1967 and the University of Pittsburgh in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. He was employed as a hospital and retail Pharmacist all his life. In his free time, Russell enjoyed photography as well as fishing, loving to tie his own flies. He was an Eagle Scout and the leader of staff parish at the West Side United Methodist Church, where he and Sandra were members, for many years. Russell was also a long-time treasurer of the Clearfield High School swim team. He will forever be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. His later years in life revolved around his loving families and his two dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra (McWilliams) Unick whom he wed in 1972; two daughters, C. Danielle Unick and Alison J. Marshall and husband Chuck; two grandsons, Parker and Mason Marshall; a brother, Jeffrey Unick and wife Jacki; a niece, Lauren Unick; and a nephew, Michael Unick.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the West Side United Methodist Church, Clearfield on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 2 PM with Pastor Steve Cowfer officiating. Friends and family are welcome to visit at the church on Saturday from 1-2 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are to be made to West Side United Methodist Church, 317 Nichols Street, Clearfield, PA 16830; or to the Clearfield SPCA, 275 21st Street, Clearfield, PA 16830; or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
