William L. "Bill" McBride

He was born March 1, 1948, in Clearfield, the son of Lee R. and Bernice G. (Flegal) McBride.

Bill was a graduate of the Clearfield Area High School and the DuBois Business College. He retired from Soult Wholesale Company after 43 years of service.

He was a U. S. Army veteran during the Vietnam Era.

Bill was Methodist by Faith.

He loved his family and music, gardening and his cat, Buddy. He was President of the Hobby Garden Club and member of the Clearfield, Grampian and DuBois Community Bands playing the tuba.

Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara L. (Pritts) McBride, of Clearfield whom he married on April 11, 1974 at Messiah Baptist Church of Kylertown by Rev. M. D. Fleming, a daughter, Laurie A. McBride, of Curwensville, a grandson, James J. Krineski, Jr., a brother, Dennis M. McBride of Curwensville, a sister Darlene A. McBride-Lash, of Curwensville also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 2:00PM with Rev. Robert Ludrowsky and Walter Fry, co- officiating. Interment will be in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8PM and on Thursday from 1:00PM until the hour of the services.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Clearfield County Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 275 21st Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
