He was born on October 28, 1936, to the late Philip and Angela Petrozelli in Queens, New York.
Angelo “Tony” was a devoted fan of both hockey and football, and when he moved to Clearwater, he switched his loyalty from his beloved New York teams to the teams of his new hometown, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Angelo loved the Florida heat, and it was never too hot for him. He spent hours at the pool, swimming laps and hanging out in the Florida sunshine with his wife and wonderful friends. Angelo was known for his quick wit, and his advice was sought by many. Angelo’s kindness, generosity, and love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
His family was his pride and joy.
He is survived by Diane, his beautiful wife of 64 years; his daughters, Dara (Russ) and Deanna (Matt); his grandchildren, Amber, Jordan, Ashlyn, and Heather (Brian); his brothers, Philip and Greg (Patricia); his sister, Jeanie; brother-in-law, Gene; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no public services.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to consider making a donation to hospice in his honor.
