Commander Anthony J Jonnatti died at home on Friday May 22, 2020 at the age of 94. Anthony was born in Verona, PA and moved to Palm Harbor in 1979. Anthony is predeceased in death by his loving wife of 51 one years, Barbara. He is survived by his children: Mark (Denise) Jonnatti, Susan (Duane) Maxwell, David (Shelby) Jonnatti, Sandy Jonnatti, Sharon (Charles) Donaldson, Stacy (Chris) Johnson and 7 grandchildren.
Anthony enlisted in the Navy at age 17, served during WWII and retired after 40 years reaching the distinguished rank of Commander. He received his Master’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He was a college math professor, a design engineer in the power transformer industry and a former International Secretary of the IEEE. Anthony loved travelling with Barbara and always took the opportunity to tell a stranger his greatest accomplishment in life was his family.
Gathering hours are 6-8pm, Thursday, May 28 at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 29th at St. Luke Evangelist Catholic Church in Palm Harbor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke Building Fund.
