I remember Tony from our childhood years. Such a sweet soul and always very kind. 
My condolences to his family. 


I am deeply saddened to hear of sweet Tony's passing.  Maria and I have been best friends since grade school. Back in 1971, I was still in high school when Maria and Tony, then recently married and very much in love, came to visit my family in Miami.  After graduation, I visited them and stayed in their lovely home in Elmhurst.  Tony was an accomplished restaurateur and a most welcoming host.  I was so very happy for their shared love for each other!
In 2019, my husband and I drove to Tarpon Springs for a reunion - after almost 50 years of not seeing each other.   We had a wonderful time.  My husband and Tony became fast friends.  Then, in 2021, Maria called to tell me about Tony's health.  A short time later however, his health was improving. 
I write this note in memory of a very lovely man.  Tony was also my friend.  I know how hard he worked to provide for his family and how much he wished he had spent more time with them in the early years.  He always smiled the "Tony smile" when talking about his children and grandchildren. 
I send my sincere regards and prayers for healing to his family,

Tony was an amazing father and husband to his family. Ever since I became friends with his son, Gus in middle school I was always welcomed over to their home. He will always have a lasting impression on everyone he was around in life. And we will continue to honor and cherish the love he has given to everyone all these years. We love you Tony and know you are watching over us now. 

My deepest condolences. May your happy memories bring you comfort and strength and may his memory be eternal.

Tony was full of warmth and laughter. We will love, remember, and miss him always.

Tony was a ring bearer in my mom and dad's wedding in 1948. I was privileged to be a bridesmaid in his wedding in1970.  As a child I often visited Elmhurst with my parents during the summer. Tony was the good looking older cousin in the shiny silk suits who had an incredible collection of Greek records in the basement.  He was also a wonderful dancer.  He was always kind to me and never made me feel a nuisance.  I was always in awe as I had no older brothers to look up to and he and his brother Frank were the closest thing I had to brothers..  He blessed our family by attending  our son's wedding on 2019  and it was so good to be able to see him again after so many years.  May his memory be eternal and may we all live long to remember him.  Happy fishing, Tony!
