10, 2025.
Born on April 30, 1943, in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Mary E. (née Dwyer) and Paul E. Blake.
After graduating from Dixie Hollins High School in Kenneth City, Florida, she went on to earn her nursing degree from St. Petersburg Community College—a calling that became one of her greatest gifts to the world. Beverly spent her career as a registered nurse with St. Anthony’s Hospital St. Pete, Mease Dunedin Hospital and Suncoast Hospice, where she cared for patients and families with extraordinary gentleness, strength, and compassion. Her kindness, steady presence, and unwavering dedication left an enduring impact on all who were blessed to know her.
A devoted member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Tarpon Springs and a former member of the Tarpon Springs Women’s Club, Beverly lived her faith through acts of service and quiet generosity. She loved simple joys—days at the beach, a good book, making beautiful flower arrangements and tending to her garden—but above all, she treasured her family and the deep faith that guided her life.
Beverly is survived by her children, Emily (Martin) Danko and Edward Pic; her siblings, Judy Apone, Paul (Barbara) Blake, and Pam (Jeff) Winkler; along with her beloved nieces, nephews, grandchildren, extended family members, and many dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Peter Blake, and her brother in law, retired Msgt Robert Apone.
A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 12:30 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m., at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, Florida 33759.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation, honoring Beverly.
