Born on April 11, 1942, in Malden, Massachusetts, Bruce spent his formative years in Deerfield, Massachusetts. He was the cherished son of the late Ruth Evelyn (Smith) and Edgar Duncan Nichols.
Bruce graduated in 1957 from Deerfield Academy and later from Boston University in 1965, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
He was the past supervisor of Technical Writing at Pratt & Whitney, Hartford, Connecticut from 1965-1978; Manager CF 6/TF 39 Publications Programs at GE Aircraft Engines Cincinnati, Ohio from 1978-1987.
Bruce leaves behind his devoted wife and soulmate, Sheron O. Nichols; step-son, Richard (Josephine) Drago; daughters, Sarah (Michael Zagotti) Bosworth Nichols, Nathalie Whital Nichols; grandchildren; Jennifer (Thomas) Gleason, Jessica (Joe) Tomasello, Christopher (Victoria) Drago; Olivia Grace Zagotti; great-grandchildren, Colton James Gleason, Luca Wade Tomasello, Marcella Mary Tomasello, Lincoln Nicholas Drago; beloved dogs, Tonee and Keeper; as well as a loving circle of extended family and dear friends who will forever treasure his kindness, and unwavering love.
A service to celebrate Bruce’s life will be held at Chapel by the Sea, 54 Bay Esplanade, Clearwater Beach, Florida, 33767, at Noon on Saturday January 11th, 2025.
A reception will follow from 1-4pm at the Clearwater Yacht Club, 830 Bayway Blvd. Clearwater Beach, Florida 33767.
Bruce’s warm spirit and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
