She was born on April 23, 1935 in Friedrichshafen, Germany to the late Eugene and Ida Abt.
Bruny worked as a legal transcriptionist in New York and later as a medical transcriptionist for Mease Hospital in Dunedin.
In her free time she enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, traveling and taking cruises.
She is survived by her children, Irene “Rina” Arakas Psomas, Adamantios “Nick” (Elisha) Arakas; granddaughters, Claudia Arakas and Irini Psomas.
In addition to her parents, Brunhilde was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nicholas Arakas and son-in-law, Evangelos “Evans” Psomas.
A visitation for Brunhilde will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 10:30 AM, Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, Florida 33759.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Brunhilde's memory may be made to Suncoast Hospice Foundation.
