OBITUARY

Christopher William Pybus

18 December, 1995 – 25 October, 2021
IN THE CARE OF

Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park & Funeral Home

Christopher William Pybus, 25, passed away on October 25th, 2021 in San Francisco, California. He was a beloved son, brother, and friend. Christopher was born on December 18th, 1995 in Panama City, Panama to father Sean Averell Pybus and mother Silvia Patricia Pacheco Pybus. He is survived by his siblings Ariana Raquel Pybus, Alexander John Pybus, and Alyssa Fernanda Pybus Briskin. As the son of a career Naval Officer, Christopher moved over a dozen times and attended nine different schools during his life including Moanalua High School in Honolulu, Hawaii; Coronado High School in Coronado, California; and SHAPE High School in Mons, Belgium. He graduated with a degree in Computer and Systems Engineering in 2019 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, where he served as President of his fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Christopher then followed a long-time dream of his to work at Apple Headquarters as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer in Cupertino, California for two years, then took a Software Engineer position with defense industry startup Hadrian in Hawthorne, California.

Christopher was larger than life, always seeking adventure and friendship wherever he went. He spent the days of his life jumping off tall rocks into the ocean in Hawaii as a young teenager, riding his motorcycle through the streets of Troy, packing all his college buddies into the back of his Suburban for a night on the town, and flying his drone to share beautiful pictures of tropical places with his family and friends. He spent a semester abroad at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom, taking advantage of the young drinking age and immediately making several lifelong friends. He lived life to the fullest and enriched the lives of all those around him. May his memory forever live within our hearts.
