Diane's life was defined by a unique blend of strength and compassion. She proudly served her country as a member of the United States Coast Guard. Her dedication to service was matched only by her love for her cats, who brought her endless joy. She was also a long-time employee of the Rock Island Railroad and loved everything related to trains.
Above all, Diane's greatest legacy was the life she built with her soulmate. She was the devoted wife of Leonard Strong Jr., with whom she spent 50 beautiful years of marriage.
Diane is preceded in death by her late parents, Glenn H. Conley and Bertha T. Conley.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years - Leonard B. Strong Jr., her sister, Debra Hilden (Mike) of Woodridge, IL, and her two beloved step-daughters, Lindsey and Patricia. Diane is also survived by her niece - Kelly Eagan (William) of Naperville and great niece Abagail Eagan, nephews William Eagan, Johnathon (Maria) Hilden, and Hendrick Hilden, as well as six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
