It is hard to believe that Frances is gone.  I have known her since she was twelve years old : her father had recently died my aunt Rolande, Frances and Joey spent some time with us.  We got our ears pierced at the same time!  
Over time, we got to know each other better.  During my stay in New York as an advisor to the Canadian Mission to the United Nations, we saw each other often, including a visit to the Bronx Zoo with Melinda, then just a child.
We had long conversations on the phone, the last one the day before her surgery.
I will miss her.

It was with great sadness that I learned about Frances’s sickness and death. It is still hard for me to believe because she was such a great force of nature and you always think that those persons will live forever.

Although we just met a few times, we did talk a few times every year on the phone, and I like to believe that we had some sort of connection together. We talked about everything, our families, ours goals, our projects, our fears….but there was one thing she didn’t want to talk to me about: politics!! She kept saying to me: Chantal, I don’t want to talk politics with you!!! It was some sort of a game we had together. One thing about Frances, she was very passionate about everything and she had such a beautiful laugh.

There is always going to be a little bit of her in my heart. She was the inspiration behind choosing my daughter’s name and for that, I will carry her in my heart forever and will never forget her.

My sincere condolences to her husband George, her daughter Melinda, her sister Barbara, her brother Ryan and the whole family.

When I was a little girl around five years of age Frances took me to the circus and bought me a little pet turtle. I never forgot this act of kindness and I told the story to my daughters and grandkids.  I remember Frances as being a very kind and loving person.  May you Rest In Peace!  

Dear Family,
The loss of a loved one is never easy but the burden is shared with you by Jesus Christ. In 2 Corinthians 5:8 the apostle Paul tells us "we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."  That is our great hope as we will be able to again see our loved ones that have gone before us as part of the body of Christ. The prayers of myself and of Colonial Baptist Church in Rogers Arkansas are with you in this time. We pray the strength and comfort from all mighty God be with you all.

I remember Frances as the wife of my boss, and the sister of my friend,  and in later years,  the mother of another friend.  She was always kind and giving,  ready to help.  I remember she wrote me a very generous letter of recommendation when I graduated from college.  That's the kind of supportive person she was.  Deepest sympathies and prayers to her family during this time and always. 

I didn't know Frances very well, but I know her sister Barbara and I know she loved her very much. I called Frances on her birthday one year, and even though she had no idea who I was, she was so sweet and grateful that I reached out to wish her well. I'm praying for her family as they mourn the loss of their loved one...and hoping they find comfort in knowing she's safe in the arms of her Father in Heaven. God bless. 

Barbara, such a beautiful picture of your Sister!  We are so sorry for  your loss but are thankful to hear that Frances trusted Jesus as her Savior! It's wonderful to know that she is enjoying the presence of God and Heavenly things!  Many prayers for you and Frances' family.

Although I did not know Frances, I do know and love you, her precious sister, Barbie, and brother-in-law, Brian. I hope you find some level of comfort in KNOWING she is in the loving arms of Jesus, our lord and savior. You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Frances , I only knew you through the eyes of your loving sister, Barbara.  If pictures can reflect an artist's perception,  than surely  the image painted through your sister's  love is very beautiful indeed.                                                                We each have a different  purpose  in life and part of that is the manner in  which  we  touch other lives. You were loved by your family and have left them the treasures of your being. I never really knew her in this life personally but was excited to hear that we’ll be spending eternity together. Our church has been praying for her salvation and healing for a while and we celebrated the news of her trusting Christ.

 Il est certain que les mots ne sont d’aucun secours pour exprimer ce que l'on ressent vraiment devant ce douloureux coup du sort. Le livre de la vie est le livre suprême qu’on ne peut malheureusement ni fermer ni ouvrir à sa guise. On voudrait revenir à la page que l’on aime, mais la page du chagrin s'est soudainement ouverte sous nos doigts. Frances a toujours été une femme amoureuse de la vie, altruiste, chaleureuse, très forte et courageuse, et nul doute que de là-haut, son étoile étincelle sur nous tous pour nous apporter du réconfort et de l'apaisement. De notre coin de pays, trop loin de vous physiquement, mais très près de coeur, sachez que nous vous aimons tous très très fort et que nous serons toujours là pour vous en tout temps. Frances, nous ne pourrons jamais jamais t'oublier.  Repose en paix ma douce!

It is certain that words are no help in expressing what it really feels like to face this painful twist of fate. The Book of Life is the supreme book, which unfortunately cannot be closed or opened at will. We would like to go back to the page we love, but the page of sorrow suddenly opened under our fingers. Frances has always been a woman in love with life, altruistic, warm, very strong and courageous, and no doubt that from above, her star shines on all of us to bring us comfort and appeasement. From our part of the country, too far from you physically, but very close to your heart, know that we all love you very very much and that we will always be there for you at all times. Frances, we can never ever forget you. Rest in peace my sweet!
