He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1925. Francis Guerra graduated from John Bartram High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he received his High School Diploma. Shortly thereafter, he honorably served in the United States Navy during World War II.
He married the love of his life, Eleanor Krueger, on September 5, 1959, and they remained happily married until her passing in October 2020.
Francis Guerra had a career in the commercial kitchen equipment repair business, as a mechanic, for the company, Gas Consumers, where he worked in that capacity for over 34 years, until retiring.
He was a member of the Greenbriar Club (Clearwater), where he organized and played in a weekly poker game, with the many friends he made in retirement, and also had a passion for his family, many friends, and all Philly Sports, in particular the Phillies, who he began following in 1936, and the Eagles, shortly thereafter. He was also an avid golfer for most of his life, as well as a big fan of the sport, and whose favorite golfer was Tiger Woods. He was always there to help those he loved, with a mischievous smile, quick wit, keen insight, skilled craftsmanship, and strong hands. His strength of will and character and love of family and friends will live on in all of those who knew and loved him.
