Gabriel Omari Green

Born on July 22, 2015, in Tampa, Gabriel was the beloved son of Crystal Martinez and Derek Green. In his ten years, he filled a lifetime with light. Gabriel had a spirit that was vibrant, joyful, and unforgettable, he was truly the heart of his family. Whether he was immersed in the world of Fortnite, watching WWE wrestling, swinging into adventure with Spider-Man, or creating content that made others smile, Gabriel lived fully and fearlessly. He brought laughter, energy, and love into every room he entered.

Though his time here was far too short, Gabriel’s life was powerful. He showed strength beyond his years, courage in the face of the unimaginable, and a joy that never dimmed. He was deeply loved, and that love will carry his memory forward in all who knew him.

Gabriel is survived by his loving parents, Crystal Martinez and Derek Green; his cherished siblings, Janelly Green, Kaylani Green, Jeremiah Green, Amaiyah Green, and Aleiyah Green; his maternal grandparents, Daisy and Abraham Urena; his paternal grandparents, Carol Pittman and Gregory Johnson; his aunts and uncles, Adrian Urena, Viviana Martinez, Erika Green, Anthony Green, and Gregory Green; along with many extended family members, friends, and fellow gamers who will forever hold him in their hearts.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm at Grace Family Church – Carrollwood, 5100 W. Waters Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33634.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to support research for DIPG, in honor of Gabriel’s brave fight and in hope for a cure.
