George is survived by his children, Scott, Heather, and Eric, as well as his grandchildren, Zachary, Mackensie, Jantima, Ava, and Christopher.
He graduated from Clearwater High School in 1956 and spent two years at Florida State University. George proudly served in the United States Air Force.
George was known for his quick wit and good humor. He loved to travel and particularly enjoyed cruises. He also cherished activities in nature like walking and gardening.
