Born in 1946 in Corona, California, Geraldine carried a warmth and vibrancy that touched everyone who knew her. Her infectious laugh and sense of humor were always in evidence along with kindness, dedication, and the abundant love she easily gave to her family. Though she relocated to Florida in 2009, Long Island always remained the place she called home.
For 48 beautiful years, Geraldine shared her life with her devoted husband, Alan Brown. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. They could always be found together, and their back-and-forth laughter and wit symbolized their loving connection. They were each other’s best friends in every sense of the term and would spend many of their nights relaxing and fulfilled to just be in each other’s company.
She found joy in the simple things and could always be found in the pages of a good book. Her home was a haven for stories, with bookshelves overflowing and novels stacked throughout. She took pride in her career as a financial controller and was known as the “Bad Mama Jama of Collections!” If you ever visited and heard Motown music blasting, you knew exactly what was happening—cleaning day! She was known for her many fabulous dishes and throughout her life holiday dinners featured many of her signature plates to the delight of her family and guests.
Geraldine is survived by her loving husband, Alan, her son, Larry Rivellese, daughter-in-law Danielle, her daughter, Linda Moshier and was preceded in death by her son-in-law Keith Moshier, her stepchildren, Donna and Joe Flieder, Jason and Bettina Brown, and her cherished grandchildren, Dylan, Hailey, Grace, Nicholas, Michael, Bettina, and Steven. She is also survived by her siblings Emily Fabbrini, John, Richard, and Gary LaFemina, and was predeceased by her half-brother William LaFemina.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Geraldine on March 8, 2025 at 1 PM at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Rd. Clearwater, FL 33759.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Geraldine’s name to the American Lung Association, https://www.lung.org/.
Her spirit, her laughter, and the unconditional love she gave will live on in the hearts of those who knew and adored her. A vibrancy for life was a hallmark that was reflected in her ability to feel compassion and love to all she knew.
