

DANILOWSKI, Henry J. 92 of Clearwater, FL passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 31, 2020 at The Health Center at Regency Oaks skilled nursing facility, Clearwater, FL. He was born on November 15, 1928 in Bayonne, NJ. He retired from Exxon Research and Engineering with 33 years of experience as a Research Technician. Henry served as a Corporal in the U.S. Marines for 4 years from 1948 to 1952. He served in Korea as a Light Machine Gunner at the Chosin Reservoir in 1950 and 1951. He also served as a combat Photographer in the Korean War. Henry was a lifetime member of the VFW, the American Legion, Korean War Veterans of Florida and the Marine Corps League.
Surviving family members include 2 daughters, Ellen M. Tischio and Valerie Ventura and 2 sons, Walter Danilowski and Chuck Danilowski. He had 4 grandchildren whom he was very proud of, Kevin Danilowski, Thomas Tischio, Hunter Payne and Jenna Emily Payne, a sister-in-law, Carrie Pucciarelli, as well a many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Victoria Danilowski, son, Michael J. Danilowski, 3 sisters, Bertha Leavandosky, Helen Perullo and Helen Koza and 2 brothers, Edward Karkut and Stanley Karkut. Also preceded in death by first wife, Theresa Solecki and second wife, Audrey Huggard.
No visitation at Sylvan Abbey but services will be held at Countryside Christian Church in the chapel at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 7, 2021; 1850 N. McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater, FL 33759. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Heart Association or Suncoast Hospice/Empath Health, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33760. Burial at Bay Pines Veterans Cemetary in St. Petersburg, FL at a later date.
