Born on October 30, 1923, in Quincy, Illinois, James was the beloved son of the late Morris and Helen Neal. In the mid-1950s, the Neal family relocated to Florida, where James would leave an indelible mark on the community and beyond.
A proud member of the Greatest Generation, James honorably served his country during World War II as a pilot in the United States Army. His unwavering courage, commitment, and patriotism defined both his military service and the life he led thereafter.
Following his service, James dedicated himself to the family business. As President and CEO of A-B-C Packaging Machine Corporation in Tarpon Springs—a company founded by his father—he helped build a legacy of innovation, leadership, and American manufacturing excellence.
James lived a full and vibrant life. Alongside his beloved wife, Audrey, he found great joy in ballroom dancing, sailing the Florida coast, traveling the world, and spending idyllic summers at the Dude Ranch, where they shared a love for horseback riding and the great outdoors.
James is survived by his loving cousins, David (Lois) Neal, Michael (Josie) Neal, and Linda (Tom) Cummings, as well as a host of extended family members and cherished friends. He is reunited in eternal peace with his dear wife Audrey and his parents, Morris and Helen.
