Jane M Barry

BARRY, Jane Monyer nee Wunning, age 90 passed away peacefully on May 19, 2016 in Clearwater, Florida. Jane is survived by her loving husband, Tom Barry of Clearwater, her surrogate family and niece, Grace and her husband, Joel Stango of Sea Isle City, New Jersey as well as many family members in the greater Philadelphia, PA area. She is preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Alvina from Philadelphia. Jane was born on June 7, 1925 in Philadelphia and attended Philadelphia Girls High School. In 1943 she accepted a position as a typist with the US Army Engineering Office in Philadelphia where she worked for 3 years. Jane met Tom while in the 8th grade and they were married August 11, 1945. This August they would have celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary. Jane was active in her community and was a loving and caring wife. She loved music, playing the organ and singing and spent much of her time supporting her husband, Tom who for many years was the director and leader of the Clearwater based Sun Coast String Band. Jane always had a smile on her face, kindness in her heart and will be missed by all who loved her. A funeral service and Gathering of Family and Friends will be held 11 am Monday, May 23, 2016 at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, Clearwater. Burial will be 1:30 Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida
