Born on July 26, 1932, in Terrytown, Pennsylvania, Joan was the daughter of Clinton and Pansy Potter. She was one of seven children and graduated from Wyalusing High School in the Class of 1951. In 1952, she married the love of her life, Robert Lloyd Jayne, and together they raised two daughters, Diane and Cindy.
Joan and her family moved to Safety Harbor in 1975, where she became a dedicated member of Sylvan Abbey Church. She had a passion for ceramics, loved to travel, and treasured time spent with her family above all else.
Joan is survived by her daughters, Diane Woodyard and Cindy (Larry) Doyle; grandchildren Casandra (David) Wigley, Tamara (Jason) Chapman and Robert Doyle; great-grandchildren Austin Wigley, Tyler Wigley, and Steven Chapman; and great-great-grandchild Landon Wigley.
She will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and deep love for her family.
A graveside service will be held at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park on Friday May 2nd, 2025 at 11:00am.
