Joe Everett Dunlap, age 92, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, October 1, 2022 with his youngest daughter and caretaker for the last three years, Dru, at his side. Joe was born in Delaware, Ohio and relocated to Florida in 1959 with his wife where he opened a small dental practice which eventually grew into one of the first group dental practices in the country and the largest in the Southeast. Over the course of his career, Joe also authored hundreds of articles for a professional trade journal, Dental Economics, and he wrote seven trade books, at least one of which was used as a college text book. Joe loved nature and was a self-professed belly photographer capturing and sharing thousands of photos of the tiniest wildflowers and also of birds, in presentations he gave for the National Audubon Society. Joe lived an abundant life filled with undying love for his wife, Sue, their five children (Marlene, Todd, David, Sherrie and Dru) and their extended families including twenty grandchildren. He was the rock of our family and he will be remembered with love, always.
