Joe Sherman Everett

Everett, Joe Sherman, 89, of Clearwater Beach passed away March 8, 2013. He was preceded in death by his sons Douglas Everett and Matthew Everett and daughter-in-law Michelle Everett. He is survived by his grandson Tanner Douglas Everett, loving wife Patricia Everett and step daughters Debra Beavers and Terry Walker. Joe was a prominent resident of Clearwater since 1953. Joe excelled at the University of Florida where he earned a Juris Doctorate with honors in 1957.

Joe played with the Clearwater Bombers during his college years and later managed the 1962 and 1963 world championship teams. He was a partner in the law firm of McMullen, Everett, Logan, Marquardt and Cline. Over the years Joe served as president of the Clearwater Bar Association, President of the University of Florida Alumni Association Clearwater Chapter and President of Kiwanis Club of Springtime City.

Joe retired living on Clearwater Beach enjoying shelling, Gator games and his family. A Gathering of Family and Friends for a Celebration of Life will be held from 6 pm – 8 pm, on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 693 S. Belcher Rd., Clearwater. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Morton Plant Mease Foundation, 1200 Druid Rd. S., Clearwater, FL 33756.
