

He was born January 10, 1935 in Canton, Maine, the son of George Carey and Beatrice (O’Brien) Carey.
John served in the Canadian Military, was an active member and Eucharistic Minister at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Clearwater, and was heavily involved with SNEAKERS, as an Egypt Shrine Clown known as “Snowball”. He truly loved “Clowning around” and believed faithfully in his Holy Father, Jesus Christ.
He and his wife owned and operated Chef’s Resort prior to their retirement.
John is survived by his wife, Frances “Tomi” Carey of the home.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00pm, Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 693 S. Belcher Road in Clearwater. There will be a Wake Service held at 2:00pm with Deacon Fred Kunder officiating.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10am, Monday, September 30, 2013 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1955 S. Belcher Road in Clearwater. A private burial will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Clearwater.
