He was born in Joliet, Illinois on November 22, 1946.
After his family moved to Clearwater, Florida in 1961, John graduated from Clearwater High School and St. Petersburg Junior College and also studied at Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL.
He was a member of the Catalinas, a local band which was popular in the 1960's.
John had a career in Retail Management for Marshall's.
He is survived by his sister, Kathleen Duckro of Pinellas Park, FL, nieces Stephanie Kruse (Michael) of Greenwich, CT, Jillian Nicolini (Ryan) of Hudson, FL, and Melissa Pollock of Tampa, FL. Grandniece Lily Kruse and grandnephew Grayson Kruse of Greenwich, CT.
There will be a graveside service for the family on Friday, August 23rd, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, Clearwater, FL.
