I just wanted to say that in my previous memory that I meant to say Hi to Abbey for me. I know how close you to were and how much you missed her. It’s comforting to know that you two are together again. Once again RIP Wild Johnny. We all miss you here in Richmond,Va

I am saddened to just find out that my good friend John is no longer with us. I met John at Va power in 1978 and quickly became good friends. John was such a good person who genuinely liked and accepted everyone for who they were. He never judged anyone. John was an extremely funny and his quick wit will never be matched.  John was a huge dog lover and he cared for them as if they were his kids. Nikko, as well as the ones before could not have had a better friend. My kids loved John, He was such a thoughtful guy. John very often bought my kids Christmas and birthday gifts in there younger years. They called him “Wild Johnny” because he always made them laugh. RIP Wild Johnny, We will miss you but will cherish the memories of all the good times we had.
Say hello to Nicky for me, I know you two are together again and laughing it up.

I’ve been trying to get in touch with John since Thanksgiving. I was trying to find family members that might be able to check on him.  Was considering calling the police to get them to check on him. Now I’m finding this. I’m heartbroken! 😭 May you Rest In Peace Little John. I love you & will truly miss you! Love, Cheryl Ann 

John wss a good friend in my younger days,even though we hadn't seen each other in a few years.he was always so cheerfully funny and such an easy person to share good times with.i will miss him and my condolences to his family

John was my only nephew.  He never married but had lots friends. His closest was his dog,  Nikko, who I'm sure will miss John very much. I laughed when John told me Nikko had 2 girlfriends -- more women than John had! He said he liked being "the dog sitter" and seeing Nikko happy! John loved music and had one of the largest collections; it extended from one wall to the other at his condo in Virginia Beach. John  was an excellent  pool player, who should have played professionally. He was that good. When John was a boy, his blue eyes would become saucers when telling an exciting story! They would light up like the sky. As a teenager, he liked "In a gata da vita," Steppen Wolf, and  loud metal music that drove his parents crazy. His ex-Marine father didn't  like him growing his hair long  either, that grew almost to his  waist! He liked it because it made him look like  Greg Altman. His girlfriend had a parrot that he would walk into Taco Bell with because the parrot, sitting on John's arm, would order, "Two tacos, please!" The Richmond Times Dispatch took a photo of John and the parrot on his arm walking down Cary Street. After over 30 years at Dominion, John retired to Virginia Beach. That's when I got to spend some time with him.  I'm glad we got to travel to Florida, South Carolina and enjoy some good times before he passed. God Bless you John.
