Joyce Elaine Kennedy, age 87, passed away Thursday evening, March 28, 2019. She was born November 29, 1931 in Muskegon, Michigan to Arthur and Fannie (Wierda) Hooker. Joyce was a long-time resident of the Clearwater-Largo area and was a long-time member of Calvary Church. She was active in banking in Clearwater for several years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing the piano and singing in the choir. She is survived by her 3 children, Lynn Wortman of Atlanta, Georgia, Kevin (Kim) Boaz of Windermere, Florida and Brad (Shannon Fry) Boaz of Naples, Florida; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Jim (Trixie Robertson) of Clearwater, her loving husband Guy Kennedy of Clearwater, her sister “Duckie” Doris Cooper and her brother Jack Hooker. A small service and celebration of life will be held for close family and friends at Sylvan Abbey on April 7, 2019. Burial will be at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park.
