June Scott

Cora June Tufts Scott, age 93, of Tampa, Florida passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022. She was born on June 25, 1929 in Lavonia Township, Michigan to Frank Tufts and Cora Brown Tufts. Her mother had one boy first, and the eight girls. June and her parents moved to Tampa, Florida right after she graduated High School. June is survived by her daughter; Loni (Tom) Stiles of Clearwater, her granddaughters; Angela M. Flowers and Patti (David) Pulver, her grandchildren; D.J. and Tommy Flowers, Katelyn and Emily Pulver, several nieces and nephews and her furry companion; Corky.

Her first job was in a grocery store in the Oak Park area of Hillsborough County. She then started working at the American Can Company near downtown Tampa around 1947 and worked there for at least 35 years.

She was a champion water skier with the Tampa Ski Bees and also skied in the water ski shows for several years at Cypress Gardens. She loved to bowl and was often on three leagues at a time. She won championships as an independent bowler as well.

She loved animals and always had several at her home. She had birds, cats, dogs and even a pet squirrel.
