Born on February 21, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, Kenneth was the beloved son of the late Wanda and John Zella. He lived a life defined by devotion to his country, his faith, and above all, his family.
Kenneth was a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and proudly served his country, retiring after years of honorable service. Following his military career, he continued his dedication and work ethic as an engineer with PALL aerospace.
Kenneth was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a proud grandfather whose kindness, strength, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A man of strong faith, Kenneth was a devoted member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Seminole, Florida, where he found community and spiritual strength.
He is survived by his cherished wife, Carolyn Zella; his daughter, Michelle Beal; his stepsons, Ercelin Phillips, Charles Phillips; and many extended family members and dear friends who were blessed to share in his life.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Zella.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30pm on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, Bay Pines, FL 33744.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blessed Sacrament in his memory.
Kenneth’s legacy of love, service, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
