

82, of Clearwater, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013.
He was born in Cumberland, MD and came to Clearwater in 1984. For 25 years he was a teacher with the Frederick County School System retiring in 1984. After relocating to Florida, he was a teacher for 10 years with the Pasco County School System retiring in 1995.
He served with the US Navy from 1950 – 1956 and received an Honorable Discharge. Afterward he continued to serve with the US Naval reserves until retiring in 1990. He also was a veteran of the Korean War and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with 2 Stars. He was a 1948 graduate of Fort Hill High School; a 1959 graduate of Frostburg State with a Bachelor Degree in Science; a graduate of Rutgers University with a Masters Degree in Advanced Professional Mathematics.
He was predeceased by his wife, Anne L. (McClaine) Koch; his father, Edward William Koch, Sr.; his mother, Alice Julia (Kelley) Koch; and his brother, Edward William Koch, Jr. He is survived by 2 sons, Robert C. Koch and his wife, Zoe, Paul E. Koch and his fiancé, Cindy L. Montgomery; a brother, Albert E. Koch and his wife, Beatrice; 2 sisters, Melissa E. (Koch) Mullis and Anna L. (Koch) Dyche and her fiancé Thomas W. Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 693 S. Belcher Rd., Clearwater. Burial will be in Cumberland, MD.
