Margaret was born on April 19, 1931, in Charleston, West Virginia, to the late Margaret and George W. Cable. Shortly after her birth, the family relocated to Carnegie, Pennsylvania, where she was raised and later graduated from Scott Township High School, Class of 1950.
In 1956, Margaret and her beloved husband, Anthony Bernabei, moved to Florida, where they established their roots and raised their family. A devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, Margaret’s family was truly the center of her world.
She was the ultimate hostess, welcoming all with warmth, laughter, and her love of entertaining. An exceptional cook and baker, she was especially known for her homemade pies and Christmas cookies, which became a treasured family tradition. Margaret delighted in life’s simple pleasures: watching movies, solving Jumble crosswords, reading, and dancing the jitterbug.
Margaret will be remembered for her generosity of spirit, her love of family gatherings, and the joy she brought to those around her.
A gathering will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m., at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, Florida, 33759. All are welcome.
