Marie Cottrell, beloved spouse of Tom Cottrell, joined him in Heaven on 29 July 2015. Born on October 31st 1920 to Paul and Damiana Sessa, Marie grew up on the lower East side of New York City where she ultimately met the love of her life, and her husband to be, Tom. After marriage they moved to the Bronx to begin their family, later moving out to Levittown Long Island, then ultimately locating here in Florida. She is preceeded in death by her brothers Anthony and Paul, and by her beloved first grandchild, Ed. She leaves behind her son Thomas and his wife Honey, daughter Arlene Miolla and her husband John, along with grandchildren Thomas, Robert, Michael and Christine, several great grandchildren and her brother Belardino. She was a devout Catholic and prior to her move to Mease Manor, practiced her faith at Christ the King Church in Clearwater. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family would like to give a special thanks to all the wonderful staff at Mease Continuing Care, especially Marie’s favorite care giver Taryn Jamison, and also the wonderful people at Suncoast Hospice who cared for her so well in her final days.
