Marilyn R Murphy, 81, of Clearwater, FL passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026 at Morton Plant Hospital. She was born in March of 1945 in Bryan, Texas. Marilyn spent 29 years working as a Nurse and a Supervisor at Morton Plant Hospital. She married the love of her life Kenneth in 1966 and they had two boys together Scott and Daniel. She had 3 grandchildren Brandon (wife Catherine), Jakob and Lynnore plus 1 great granddaughter Millie. Marilyn loved to travel, watch sports and her Red Sox, Cowboys and Seminoles.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth sons Scott (wife Lisa)and Daniel (wife Alicia) her brothers Rick Hixson and Gary Hixson (wife Anne). Nieces Sarah Walter (husband Charles) and Megan Barnes. Nephew Greg Hixson (wife Polly). Nephews Michael (wife Corolla) and Shawn Murphy.
A Memorial Service will be held at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 SUNSET POINT RD, CLEARWATER, FL 33759, US, on May 23, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
A Catered Reception will follow at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 SUNSET POINT RD, CLEARWATER, FL 33759, US, on May 23, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
