Mary Cox

MARY A. COX, 92 ~ WINTER HAVEN - Mary A. Cox, 92, of Winter Haven, FL passed away at home to be with the Lord on October 2, 2018. She was born in Lansford, PA in 1926 to the late Marino and Margaret George. She was a long-time resident of Clearwater, FL where she worked in the beauty salon business owning her own salon for many years. She enjoyed dance, knitting, especially caps and blankets for new born children in the hospital and, she was an avid Tampa Bay Rays fan following them religiously, but most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren which were her passion. Mary is survived by her daughter, Diane M. Verhoeven and Peter Verhoeven of Winter Haven, FL, son, Joseph J. Cox of Rochester, MN, granddaughter Carrie Kleinmeier of Tarpon Springs, FL, grandson Michael Verhoeven and Valerie Verhoeven of Lebanon, TN, great granddaughter Courtney Windham and Logan Windham of Bradenton, FL, great granddaughter Jordon Hughes of Largo, FL, great granddaughter Madison Kleinmeier of Tarpon Springs, FL, great granddaughter Kassidy Kleinmeier of Tarpon Springs, FL, great grandson Jacob Verhoeven of Lebanon, TN, great granddaughter Emma Verhoeven of Lebanon, TN, great granddaughter Sophia Verhoeven of Lebanon, TN, great great grandson Grayson Horsey of Bradenton, FL , great-great grandson Landyn Windham of Bradenton, FL and great great granddaughter Logan Balch of Largo, FL. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Haines City, FL. In lieu of a funeral service there will be a celebration of life memorial with date, time and place to be announced later.
