Mary will be loved and cherished forever by her sons, Leroy and Scott and daughters-in-law, Glenda Kay and Maria, as well as her grandchildren, Alexander, Kyle, Taylor, Clarel and Eloy and her great-grandson, Julian. Many nieces and nephews are also left to share in “Aunt Mitzi’s” loving memory. Mary graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1972 with a degree in Education and taught 2nd Grade at New Richmond Elementary School in New Richmond, Ohio, where she and Lowell would raise their family in a beautiful country home known as Rock-Haven. Mary later moved to Long Island, New York and opened her own bookkeeping firm, and was also employed by a software manufacturing company in research and development. After many years of hard work Mary retired to Clearwater, Florida and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Upon Lowell’s retirement, he and Mary settled further south in a lovely home on the water in Bokeelia, Florida. They developed many friendships in Bokeelia through social clubs, church and neighborhood parties. Mary loved fishing and would spend hours in the canal behind their home trying to catch Snook, Snapper and Trout. Lowell and Mary eventually moved to Weston, Florida so they could be closer to their specialists for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Even though Mary gave up her beloved fishing spot, she occupied her time making new friends and writing 2 memoirs about her life experiences. Mary will be laid to rest beside her husband, Lowell and son, Kevin. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the National Parkinson’s Foundation.
