January 19, 1964 – February 23, 2025 – Michelle Lowell (Griepentrog) Coia, 61, of Safety Harbor, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on February 23, 2025. Born on January 19, 1964, in West Bend, Wisconsin to Ted and Joanne (Kempf) Griepentrog, Michelle brought light and kindness into the lives of all who knew her.
Michelle graduated from West Bend West High School in Wisconsin in 1982 as well as Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1986. She was an avid reader, traveler, had a passion for food and was a master at designing stained glass.
Michelle is survived by her husband David, daughter, Erin Bennett (Nate), step-daughter Francesca Marotti (Giancarlo) and step-sons Ian Coia and Loren Coia. She is further survived by her sister, Bridget (Paul) Nedden, brothers, Jeff (Kendra) Griepentrog, Chad (Julie) Griepentrog along with two grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and numerous other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, father-in-law David Coia and mother-in-law Jean Coia.
Her love, wisdom, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A private family ceremony will be held to honor Michelle’s life.
