She was born on November 20, 1943, in Jasper, Alabama, to Leon Dodd and Willie Farris Dodd. After the tragic loss of her mother at a young age, Patti moved to Clearwater, Florida, where she was lovingly raised by Winnie and Dillard Hudson who became the true foundation of her life. There, she grew up alongside her brother, Jim.
Patti became known for her kind heart, gentle nature, and deep love for her family.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Rupert Loyd Davis. Their time together was cut short when he passed away at the age of 44, but their love remained with her always. Patti often shared that he was a once-in-a-lifetime love, and she carried that devotion with her throughout the years. Later in life, she married Tony Squarceri, who also preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her sister Carolyn, and her brother Ralph.
Patti will be remembered as a deeply kind and loving woman whose warmth touched everyone she met. She had a quiet strength, a welcoming spirit, and a natural way of making people feel cared for and valued. Her greatest joy was her family, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Her faith in Jesus Christ was a steady source of comfort and strength throughout her life.
She is survived by her two children her daughter, Melissa Davis Brown (Doug); her son, Michael John Davis (Regina); and her beloved grandchildren, Andrew Russo (Rebekah), Cecelia Russo Cannova (Alex), Kaitlyn Nicol (Alex) and Nick Brown. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Corbin, who brought her great pride and joy.
She is also survived by her brothers, Jim Hudson (Margi), Robert Dodd (Susie), and Bill Dodd (Mattie).
Patti leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion that will live on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever held in our hearts.
We find comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior, reunited with the love she held closest in her heart.
