

Patricia was born on July 19, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan and would go on to graduate from Purdue University. Patricia moved to Clearwater, Florida in 1972.
In September 1984, Patricia founded and started the Better Business Bureau of West Florida. She was the President/CEO from 1984 until her retirement in 2004. Following her retirement, she was an active Board Member for the BBB of West Florida until her passing. Throughout her active involvement at the BBB of West Florida, she was always focused on serving the business community and consumers in West Florida.
Along with always supporting and cheering on her Purdue Boilermakers in whatever sport they were playing, Patricia was an avid Tampa Bay fan. From watching her grandchildren compete to cheering on the Tampa Bay Lightning, Buccaneers and Rays, she was always pulling for the home team. She was known for her competitiveness and quick wit and never shied away from a game of Michigan poker with her family.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Larry Nalven; her oldest son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Margaret White; her youngest son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Kimberly White; her 5 granddaughters, Ciara Nelson, Karina White, Lydia Laskaris, Karlie White and Mackenzie Nalven; her 2 great grandchildren Micara Nelson and Gregory Nelson; and her brother and his wife, William and Kathy Smith.
