Phyllis Jean Layton Meadows age 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 22, 2021 at her home in Clearwater, FL. Phyllis was born on December 21, 1933 to Earl and Marie Layton of Campbells Creek, WV. Phyllis graduated from DuPont High School in 1952 She retired from One Valley Bank and was a member of Big Bottom Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband Clyde Meadows, parents, sister Geneva Childers, and brother Johnny Layton. She is survived by daughter, Doris (Billy) Washington, Janet Shay Washington, Victor Washington, Michael Payton; sisters, Mertie Hudson, Connie Harmon, Nancy (Keith) Smith; and brother Roger (Mavis) Layton; nieces and nephews; special friend Gretchen Bias and her family; and fur babies ChaCha and RazKal. There will be no services at this time.
