

LEDUC, Richard Homer LeDuc was born March 28, 1929, in Hartford, CT, the only son of the late Homer LeDuc and Lillian Rioux LeDuc. He died in Tarpon Springs, FL on May 29, 2014. Mr. LeDuc was a graduate of the Ward School of Electronics and enjoyed a career as a manufacturing sales engineer. He was a Coast Guard Auxillary Commander, a Korean War veteran, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He married Joan O'Brien LeDuc on July 2, 1956, and together they raised three children in Meriden, CT. After retirement, Dick and Joan moved to Tarpon Springs, FL, a place he grew to love as a teen when vacationing with his cousins during the summer months. He and his wife were active members of St. Ignatius Parish. Dick earned a Private Pilot License and together with his wife and children, enjoyed many flying trips in their own airplane. He also enjoyed oil painting, sailing, and baking. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan O'Brien LeDuc, and infant son, Thomas Joseph LeDuc. He is survived by his son, Lawrence Brien LeDuc (Elizabeth) of Decatur, GA; a son, David Richard LeDuc (Brenda) of Edgewater, FL; a daughter, Mary-Elizabeth LeDuc of New Haven, CT; and two granddaughters, Sara Ann LeDuc and Caroline Ellen LeDuc of Decatur, GA. At a later date, graveside services will be held at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield, CT, where he will be buried alongside his wife.
