Dr. Ronald William Novotny was born August 7, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland. He earned post-graduate degrees from Catholic University, American University and University of Dayton including a PhD in Counseling Psychology and a Licentiate in Sacred Theology. Ron worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons for 13 years in the Washington, DC area before spending 6 years helping patients at the VA Hospital in Tampa. His life work and mission was as Founder and Director of the Cenacle of Our Lady of Divine Providence School of Spirituality. Ron is survived by Adrienne, his beloved wife of 42 years; his children: Rachel Hagerty of Annapolis, MD, Adam (Holly) of Catonsville, MD, Marie (Trace) Talley of Cleveland, OH; seven grandchildren and 2 sisters. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 6, 2015, at 10:30am at Our Lady of Divine Providence House of Prayer, with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Our Lady of Divine Providence House of Prayer Foundation, Inc. Endowment Fund. 711 S Bayview Ave., Clearwater, FL 33759 .
