Roy Lincoln Wethington

Roy was born in Essex, MO, on April 5, 1939. He was the last surviving child of the late Urban and Ida Wethington.

Roy was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was also a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. He was employed primarily in the field of Information Technology for the state of Illinois, the state of Missouri, and the United States Department of the Army.

Roy lived in Winchester, Kentucky for many years before retiring to Florida in 2002. He enjoyed collecting antiques and amassed an impressive collection prior to his retirement. He was very fond of his many nieces and nephews and spent considerable time with them over the years. He was preceded in death by his parents Urban and Ida Wethington, brothers Jimmy Dale and Urban Wethington Jr., sisters Shirley Lunsford and Faye Meyer, nephew David Meyer, and niece Karen Wethington.

Among the many nieces and nephews that will miss him are, Dennis (Linda) Wethington, Donna (Steve) Komplin, Kim Alley, Mike (Kathy) Meyer, Loreal Wethington, Matt (Paige) Lunsford, Daryl Wethington, Pamela (James) Jaworowski, Ben (Laura) Komplin, Jon (Abbie) Komplin, Blake (LaGena) Wethington, Hailey (Clay) Driskill, Kennedy (Logan) Roark, Lauren Lunsford, and Matthew Lunsford.

A memorial service in Roy’s honor will be held on Monday August 4th at 11AM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
